Players are supposed to be nice in post game interviews. Anytime they challenge the officiating it’s seen as being a sore loser

It didn’t have to say anything but chose to say the ball scraped his finger. Don’t think he would lie if he didn’t have to

I don’t know 100% whether or not he touched it, but at the same time if they ruled he didn’t he’d probably say he didn’t touch it either. Again players are supposed to be nice to the press, iirc one of the Auburn players was flamed for complaining about the refs in 2019 (ironically also against Virginia)
