My neuropsych said sick people tend to watch a lot of horror because it’s the only genre to truly turn off your brain and tune out all the noise from your ailments. It made sense for me bc when things are bad I watch a lot of horror lol. Figured to share

I only get the urge to watch horror when I'm sick so this is fascinating. I asked my partner (a horror nerd💕) for suggestions and they immediately asked if I was sick lol Even funnier is that my favorite genre is body horror

This makes a lot of sense 💀💀I dont do a lot of horror films usually, but when I’m rlly deep into an episode of chronic illness I listen to way more disturbing music full of weird sounds and noises or heavy metal bc its literally the only thing I feel like I can tolerate
