I know that feeling. Whatever you’re going through, it’ll be alright. Long shot… if you’re getting some sort of ostomy, you’re not alone!!!

Thank you! And nope, it’s for bowel endometriosis. Hopefully it’s only superficial so they only have to remove minimal amount/none of my bowels (so I’m hoping no stoma is necessary)

Me too! Chrons. Had a really bad abscess and they removed it along with a whole 30cm of small intestine!!! Hopefully in a few months I might be able to get it reversed, but it’s not a loop ileostomy so we’ll see how that goes 😵‍💫

Same! Ileostomy for IBD. They removed my entire colon because it was all shot. I’m leaning towards keeping it permanently because I tend to have a lot of complications and would probably just end up with pouchitis and another ileostomy 😅 I hope your reversal goes well! I heard the transition from ileostomy > loop > reversal is much smoother than if you start with a colostomy!
