right. especially with all the anti BC propaganda pushed around on social media right now… people are always so shocked when i tell them i’ve never been on bc for pregnancy prevention

Dude I might need to get on it to regulate my fucked up period from PCOS. I’d never even considered it as a medical treatment before my doctor told me about it

I will say I think it definitely delayed some of the more severe symptoms of PCOS for me, but it also masked them so my doctor didn’t take them seriously when big stuff really started showing up (massive sudden weight gain, beard, mustache, skin changes associated with insulin resistance, diabetes symptoms, etc). I did fire her after that, and waiting to see my new one in 2 weeks. So it DOES work, really well, as long as everything else is being monitored by a trusted medical team
