Obviously, I wasn’t there so I don't have any context, however, a semaglutide shot has done WONDERS for my overall inflammation. I had to go off of it for a surgery, and not only did my pain levels go up, my family said they could see the inflammation (and it wasn't just weight gain because the scale didn't move). I'm really truly sorry if this doc is focusing more on your weight than your symptoms (I've been there😭 it is so bad because it makes you feel bad about yourself AND invalidates

your experiences). But when you go to your new doc, I’d suggest hearing them out if they suggest Ozempic again. Then if they say only weight things, then fuck them and their mom. But they may surprise you and be trying to get you on it for a different reason

i appreciate the info, but they were 100% trying to get me on it because of my weight. the entire time they were talking about weight loss and how if i were to lose weight it would fix my pain (which is definitely not true given that it’s fucking chronic pain)

I'm so sorry to hear that, like genuinely. I’ve been ‘overweight’ my whole life, and even now (100 lbs down) I still have doctors telling me that losing weight will magically fix my chronic (and genetic) problems. Hopefully, you can find a new doctor who takes you seriously and can help you❤️
