fuck chronic pain. i can’t do this shit anymore. i’m in constant pain all day everyday and little helps. like baseline pain i’m at 2-3 daily. 2 on a good day. 3 on a normal day. up to 7/8 on a bad day. weed helps. but i can’t use at work. tips?

i'm on gabapentin for chronic pain, it has helped me move my baseline pain down a LOT. and my general other tips are: compression, heat, ice, changing sitting/rest positions

Even the little things help. Heat, gentle manual release on myself with my hands, tennis balls, or soft cupping. Regularly using topical stuff helps. I use a combo of volteran and biofreeze most days. I also use edibles, muscle relaxers, and/or Tylenol depending on the day. I used to take ibuprofen a lot but got ulcers from it so no more NSAIDS for me. I’ve also found dandelion tea helps a ton for specific types of pressure headaches I get and raspberry leaf tea is good for cramps/endo pain.

Really mindfully acknowledging my pain helps a lot too overall. Telling myself that yes, it IS really bad, and then adjusting what I’m doing to make things better, even if it’s a super small improvement, it’s less stressful and tiring than trying to block it out and push through.
