Tell me why the two times I’ve seen an immunologist they are the ONLY ones who give a single damn about helping find and treat the root causes of issues. Like today I had my second ever annual follow up and (cont in comments)

this is unrelated but I kept seeing a neurologist who said “we don’t know why you’re still having seizures, life is a ✨mystery✨” contacted my insurance to stop seeing him and they referred me to an epilepsy specialist who said “yeah we found that your seizures are localized in one area and brain surgery can help reduce your seizures” Went from having ~150 seizures a month down to ~10 a month after surgery

I said I have terrible fatigue and she was like ‘ok let’s check your Vitamin D levels even though you’re on a supplement to make sure they’re ok, and check your iron and ferritin levels, and your thyroid.’ Compared to when I told my rheumatologist I have terrible fatigue (a major symptom of my condition’s is fatigue) and she was like ‘oh well fatigue is a multifaceted symptom so you’ll have to go talk to your primary about that’

And the immunologist was like ‘I see it’s been a year since you saw ENT or a pulmonologist let’s do check ups with them since you mentioned nose bleeds and sinus issues and that might impact your fatigue too’

And then I mentioned GI issues I’ve been trying to solve for like 5 years and she immediately offered genetic testing to determine if it was related to my other autoimmune conditions
