I’m also 23 in I think technically my 6th year due to medical issues. We are not failed or behind. We may be behind compared to the people we went to high school with, but we are still doing the damn thing. You had cancer and you’re still finishing your degree. That’s incredibly admirable. I’ve had many classmates much older than me and younger than me. We all have our own timelines and that’s okay.

I’ve had to take time off for my health issues so I’ll be 23 when I finish my bachelors. My ex finished their bachelors in 7 years at 25. Everyone has a different timeline and only 40% of students actually complete their degrees in 4 years. You’re not the only one dealing with it and it doesn’t make you a failure. It just means you had a different path in life
