The sds at my school is pretty good. I can’t get accommodations for certain things because it’s a “you have it, but we won’t officially diagnose you because it’ll fuck up your insurance” situation, but I still communicate my physical limitations in certain courses with my professors and they’ve been very supportive. If professors aren’t respecting your accommodations, you should contact your university’s sds and if you aren’t set up with them yet, you should do that. Makes life a lot easier
is it normal that im getting points taken off for my chem class despite my attendance accommodation? bc i had to be absent and i emailed my prof and he was like im taking 10% of points off of participation but i was absent bc i had a doctors appointment and idk if i should go to the disability office
They tell me I should/need to email if I’m going to be absent. Btw my disability sometimes makes it difficult to impossible to wake up. One time it lined up with a big exam and they wouldn’t let me retake it. Literally don’t know what else I could have done when I SLEPT THROUGH MY ALARM.
