people trying to tell me pcos isn’t a chronic illness makes me want to put a gun to my head. i’ve been hospitalized and have to be on medication for the rest of my life. i have pain so bad that sometimes i physically can’t leave my bed for days.

I have pcos too! It’s def a chronic illness. It shouldn’t directly cause a lot of pain though, so it could be something to lose going on too! I’m currently also trying to get a diagnosis of endometriosis

Feel like it’s bc it’s also associated with being fat and people love to tell you that any condition when you’re at all overweight is your own fault

i have other issues caused by the pcos along with a congenital birth defect in my uterus causes me to have extra pain

but all my pain stems from the pcos cause my hormones are like extra messed up and i only get a period once a year so my ovaries go crazy and i basically start bleeding so much that it becomes unsafe for me to do anything but take mass amounts of birth control(as directed by my obgyn)
