Anyone who has been to the er in another country what’s your story? I’ll go first… I had my first seizure in South Africa and had to drive an hour to the hospital. the hospital had no wait time. My brain mri was less than $100 usd part 1/2

The downsides were that before they did ANYTHING (administer medications, do a scan, put in an iv) they would bring a payment machine over and and I had to swipe my card before they helped me. (I swiped my card at least 10 times and I was there for a few hours) and they didn’t have juice flavors I was used to. I forgot all of the options but I picked mango juice. Apple, orange, or cranberry juice were not an option

I was playing hockey in russia and was in a collision with another player. Broke a bunch of ribs and stopped my heart, freak accident (well I think he did it on purpose). Rushed to the hospital. Died a bit, they got me back and moved me to a recovery room. Wasn’t the nicest hospital (a little eerie). Everyone was professional though. Don’t know how much it cost, my BF grabbed the bill
