I love how the solution is drink more water but I constantly feel dehydrated so I end up drinking so much I throw up. Then the doctors have no clue what to do next (they ask me for recommendations now)

If you’re drinking so much water to the point where you’re throwing up, the solution is not drink more water and the problem is not dehydration, you’re able to over hydrate yourself too

I get weak and shaky if my blood sugar is low—I’m very susceptible to reactive hypoglycemia for whatever reason. Idk if you experience something similar, but my limbs feel weak and jittery, my mouth starts clattering as if I was trembling from the cold, and I feel hot and like I’m on the cusp of hyperventilating or passing out. If you experience something similar, I wonder if you are drinking so much water that it effectively dilutes your blood and your blood sugar drops?

have you tried electrolytes instead of just plain water?

I do and then I get really shakey and pass out but if I drink too much water I also get shakey, sick, and pass out

If this sounds like you, maybe try having a sweet treat (to rapidly raise blood sugar) followed by a meal (to sustain blood sugar so it doesn’t immediately drop again). Also Ik salt/electrolytes helps you retain water. Maybe your body will hold onto water better and you’ll feel hydrated with less water if you get some salt in you? Also idk your medical history or whatever but this talk of blood sugar has reminded me that excessive thirst is seen in diabetes, especially diabetes insipidus cuz (1)

That directly fucks with aquaporins, the channels responsible for taking water into your cells and concentrating your urine (fin)

I have hyperglycemia and they want to test for diabetes, I check my sugar and it usually stays in range. I do have like 15 diagnoses ranging from minor to could kill me in 10 years
