Do showers fuck any of you up? I’m supposed to meet with a friend but I’m not feeling great, I’m at the point where I can push through it but I wanted to shower and If I do there’s no way I’ll be able to go

Yes :( hot water/steam can make your blood pressure dip and standing for the full time doesn’t help. Try using a seat (you don’t have to stay sitting the entire time, just when you feel like “hey I need a break”) and using cooler water, however much you can tolerate

Shower chair, make it quick, be careful about how long your arms are raised over your head, and I’ve heard that slowly cooking the water to adjust to it at the end of the shower helps? Like a few minutes colder then colder than that for a few more minutes but idk.

Yeah. I had to switch to showering right before bed because I’d feel so bad afterwards. I still lay down for half an hour afterwards before I try getting up

Yeah I do try and sit for the majority of it but even with the cooler water afterwards I’m usually out for the count

Yeah same, if I’m working or at school I have to schedule time for after my showers to just lay down for a while

If it’s more of an energy issue I’ve had to block out days where I shower in the morning or afternoon when I have the most energy and then just recover. If it’s blood pressure issue maybe focus on tensing muscles in your legs if you can or even shower with compression
