I just feel so alone. Anytime I talk about how tired work makes me all I get is “we all do things we don’t want to do” or “at least you don’t work have kids and a house to take care of like me” please I just want a little support.

I have narcolepsy type 1 and insomnia so sleep is never rest. I’ve been working 35 hours a week which for me is a lot! My legs and arms shake constantly and the brain fog is almost unbearable. I just don’t know what to do or who to talk to.

god that type of casual ableism is so maddening & soul-crushing, like people just resort to dismissing your circumstances because they literally cannot imagine what you’re up against and it’s more convenient for them to just decide that you’re being whiny or incompetent or w/e. I wish I had any advice that was actually practical / effective

fwiw, the only thing that really helps me Not crash the fuck out on a regular basis over how isolated & helpless I feel in daily life has been deliberately seeking friendships with other chronically ill & disabled people wherever I can (often online), especially people who consciously align themselves with disability justice politics & solidarity
