This is the only time im glad I’m going into a flare rn. I received my heart monitor yesterday. So maybe, possibly, please, it will catch something

Mine caught a major thing and my doctor just. Never read the results. And tried to give me another one a year later because she forgot about the first one. That was silly

If it’s a holter monitor, be warned that some of them you can turn off, and the doctors just fail to mention that😭 Had one that I was supposed to wear for 2 weeks, and it only recorded 4 days of data cause I accidentally turned it off in my sleep and had no idea till they read the results

I remember when they were gonna put my pacemaker in, I told my rheumatologist and she was like “what did you wear a monitor for like a week or 2 weeks? You should get a second opinion and more data before doing that.” And I was like “oh no, I’ve had a loop recorder for like 3 years”

That is silly. Luckily I have switched to a dr that isn’t as dismissive as my past ones. I had seen a cardiologist that wouldn’t even run any tests, so it’s a good sign that my new pcp is doing something different than my previous

She’s great otherwise. Listens to all my symptoms and gives me like 2 daily meds and 3 rescue/as needed meds to keep everything in check. She just found my left atrium STOPS BEATING RANDOMLY and was like “oh yeah you did have some interesting results on this monitor. Anyway here’s more metoprolol”

I apologize if my comment was only tangentially relevant
