and they’re like oh well i can drive you places and yeah that’s helpful but i refuse to be 100% dependent on someone to get places when there’s tons of cities i can navigate on my own

This, except that’s why I’m leaving this city. Unfortunately I’ll have to return sometimes for appointments because my care can only be found in a few places in the world.
