had my 7th joint surgery (eds) in 4 years on wednesday and WOW. it was on my right knee and my most painful joint surgery was my left knee 2 years ago. i was so nervous to get this, but this time instead of oxy, im doing a fentanyl patch + journavx

literal night and day difference. i have basically no pain. i did have a stronger nerve block but its wearing off and still nothing. only the incisions hurt a tad if i touch them. last time my quad was paralyzed for 2 months, this time it was awake when i woke up from surgery. my leg is so strong and i can already bend to 90 degrees and can walk without crutches. i’m even stable in the shower without the brace on. it’s INSANE. 10/10 recommend doing this for surgery vs the traditional codeines.

Thanks I’m just curious as I’ll probably need joint surgeries in the future due to eds as well
