Any tips for Gastroparesis? Everything my doctors are recommending (which isn’t much) isn’t helping

Gastroparesis is so hard to treat, I’m in the same boat. I’m meeting with a surgeon for a gastric stimulant implant but I’m not sure that’s entirely helpful for some people. The only medication that actually helps me is gabapentin but an extremely high dose I can’t live on

for me not eating gluten helped, but didn't fix it completely. Sometimes I double up on zinc (would not recommend) or drink a big bottle of aloe juice to get things moving. Miralax hasn't worked because my EDS just makes my intestines stretch to accommodate the back up

I had to cut out meat and lots of whole foods. Thankfully my gastroparesis was not permanent, but the year and a half I struggled with it, I mostly drank my food. Apple sauce, juices, protein shakes, smoothies with supplements. Lots of nausea meds as well. Good luck soldier, I hope you get some peace soon 🫶🏻

just recently learned that miralax only softens stool, it doesn’t stimulate your gut. You would need something like dulcolax to get things properly moving. Im no medical professional, but just my experience :)
