I use my passport and a non-drivers ID for my legal documentation and legal ID forms, the whole “requires a driving license” is a weird way they’re able to bypass a “it’s technically legal” ADA requirement lol

I ran into that problem when applying for jobs out of state because they wanted a state specific one. If you apply on Indeed or whatever you’re going to run into a lot more issues than directly on the the company website. If you do it on the website, you can always contact for accessibility assistance if it’s not an option. Remote jobs are less likely to ask

They ask for a DL#* Whenever I did apply for funsies “no” for a drivers license I never get call backs (probably a coincidence but it still makes my job hunt a horrible experience)

Sometimes they do auto sort by answers if it’s through third party or they have lots of applications and it is “required.” If it’s a smaller company, less applications, they will review by hand. But if they’re getting 100+ they will automatically delete all applicants not meeting criteria to narrow it down.

I do have a non-drivers ID and they told me they can’t accept that
