I don’t know why I’m so shocked that the department of health called me after I reported a hospital that had basically gave me ptsd due to mistreatment

I want to do this so I can feel that I at least stood up for myself and anyone else who was put through something similar. Reading the reviews about that hospital is what convinced me to make a formal complaint. And idk how this whole process works, but I know it means revisiting the trauma. I thought I was ready but I keep breaking down remembering everything

🤝 OP I respect you so much for stepping up and reporting what you went through. there’s been at least two instances now where I wanted to do the same, but then ultimately was too emotionally exhausted to go through with it during the timeframe when my memory would still be somewhat reliable. I seriously regret not doing anything about my experience of medical neglect in the ER a year ago, but it’s so difficult to discuss even just with trusted friends

so like, no judgment whatsoever if you’re unable to reach the end of that process—shit is Beyond grueling. if that ends up being the case then I really hope you won’t beat yourself up over it. I believe in you, and I also don’t want you to suffer unnecessarily

It was almost a year ago, and it sent me into a mental breakdown. Everything is written down bc I was journaling then. I can’t seem to move past it, so maybe facing it head on will help.
