as a chronically ill girlie who chose not to walk (bc sitting in a crowded room is anxiety inducing on its own, let alone sitting and standing for long periods), i just had a graduation party for mine. I got the cap & gown for photos, but the ceremonies (depending on uni) are sometimes overblown and overdrawn self-aggrandizement for the university and not the students... i understand how meaningful it is to walk across a stage like that though, it’s a very strong symbolic moment and feeling. ❤️
