the concept of being fully exhausted and fatigued due to chronic illness but then not being able to sleep a wink due to insomnia. like please. i’m in the midst of a flareup i really need more than 4 hours of sleep a night

Real. When I don’t have work or school I’m fine bc I just sleep all day and get 10-12 hours. But society was made by morning people so I’m only at my worst when I have to follow their schedule. And a late start time isn’t considered a reasonable accommodation

yeeeeep i work 4 10 hour shifts so tues-fri from 8-6:30 i’m just suffering and running on 4 hours of sleep. thankfully always having a 3 day weekend helps a bit

probably lol 😭 havent had a full bloodwork panel in a minute but given everything else that is wrong with my body it wouldn’t surprise me if i was also anemic

i feel that 😩 iron deficiency can cause fatigue and insomnia (such a fun combo) that’s why i asked. i’m sorry you’re going through that it can be miserable!!
