So, what I originally thought was POTS is now starting to look more like a neuro problem possibly epilepsy. What do you guys think? Symptoms in comments

The doctors have to run an MRI and EEG to diagnose whatever’s going on, push for a full spinal and brain scan and 72hr EEG. Mine both came back clean which is how they were able to safely diagnose FND, and with occupational therapy and new meds I’m doing much better.

the repetition of the brain fog tells me you *do* have brain fog. on a serious note, you should go to neuro, cardio and a neuro optometrist

* intense fainting and dizzy spells * pressure in my brain / headaches * staring off into the distance for no reason and forgetting where I am and what I was doing (had this since I was a little girl) * Intense brain fog takes me a long time to get through basic stories and thoughts * muscle aches and spasms where one leg or arm with twitch rapidly and I have no control over it

I just now noticed that 😭😂 I have been to a cardio and was “normal” in every test. The Neuro has a 9 month wait looking to see if I can get that any sooner *sigh*

Go to the ER next time you have an episode where you cannot control your movements or move at all (last symptom in your list) if the episodes last long enough for symptoms to show once you get there, that should push you up on the priority list (ik the ER sucks sorry girlypop)

Oh shoot wait I didn’t even notice the numbness one, neurologists can also test for peripheral neuropathy to see if that numbness is fully functional or has structural causes as well. It is a gnarly test, they electrocuted a couple points on my leg to see nerve response (felt like a slightly too strong TENS unit) and then took two chunks of skin out of my leg to send to a lab (numbed with lidocaine first, didn’t even feel it, same tool used as dermal piercings).
