When is breakthrough bleeding not normal with birth control? Bc I’ve been bleeding for over two weeks straight and I know it’s not bad compared to other people’s but when should I be concerned?

Are you taking any other meds that can interact? And are you taking it at the same time every day?

Everyone I know bled for about a month on that first birth control period. Mine lasted 35 days. You should be good (but the blood loss does make you kinda lethargic toward the end.)

No and I’m on the ring and change it close to the same time every time

How long have you been on it?

For six months and I should mention two things. 1. I have constant pelvic pain (cramping) and because of that 2. My gyno told me to skip my periods so I only have one every 3 cycles so ny cramps aren’t increased due to my period. So I don’t know if this is bc of the skipping (which I’ve had breakthrough bleeding just never this bad) or reaction to the ring or another symptom to add to the pelvic pain

(Never got a notification sorry) after 6 months your body should be pretty adjusted to the hormones and have a routine and unless you had constant pelvic pain before starting the ring, you shouldn’t be having that so definitely bring it up with a doc
