Because grammarly checks work you had to produce yourself. It doesn’t cut out all critical thinking and produce something for you like people are using ChatGPT for. And if you mean using chatGPT to check work you did yourself, it’s still bad because ChatGPT notoriously gives incorrect or shitty feedback

It’s not, my professors don’t allow grammarly because it actually uses ai to change stuff which changes your writing style. Also it uploads stuff to the cloud so anything confidential can be seen
