Hate for the new Z is so forced, this is genuinely some of the most fun I’ve had in a car

I don’t think the hate comes from people saying it’s a terrible car, I just think they could have done better. It turned a lot of people off that they just used the existing 3.0TT

I do get that ngl. I think if they had used the vr35 and its air to air intercooler setup it would have been a much better car. Racebox got the new qx80 to make nearly 500whp with just a tune. The vr30 isn’t a bad engine though. Easy 450whp and near 500wtq with bolt ons isn’t bad. I do wish they had used bigger turbos.

Yeah it’s definitely a good engine, but it’s not exactly inspiring. I think everyone was just expecting something big, and when they got a recycled engine it just killed the vibe. I know that’s shallow lmao, but I’d say a lot of hype is built around public perception rather than true performance

It also didn’t help that you literally couldn’t get one for like the first year or two they were out, and then they were still hard to come by after that. The lack of hype definitely hurt sales too, so you don’t even see them around. It’s like Nissan literally can’t sell them. I got mine like 15k off msrp with 0 miles, and even then, it had sat on the lot for over a year.
