Genuine question. Is a cold air intake worth it? I have a 2012 Honda and the ones I see that are decent quality are like 400 bucks

The box you have now is like breathing through a straw but an air intake is free breathing and supplies plenty of air. Though preferably cold air which it isn’t but still way better than the box. An exhaust plus air intake and a mod. Higher performance and well equipped for modifications. Ur choice and ur money.

Are you going to upgrade anything else on it?

I mean define worth it? If it’s the only mod you plan on doing, no. A high quality drop in air filter from K&N would probably do the same performance life. If you’re going to do more down the road including tuning, it’s nice to have the air flow

This is true OP! I actually installed a Short Ram Intake on a 2012 accord sport (K&N brand), which you may be looking at. Short rams can bring in hotter air than their counterpart true cold air intake. All I found out from owning one is that it gives a lil more MPG (nothing substantial), a deeper volume in acceleration, and imo saves money on buying filters. Pretty fun mod, but kinda useless.

For replacing the filter it requires oil, and after a certain amount of time you do need to replace the cone. Which can be 60-80 dollars depending on the filter you buy.
