The people in this comments section when they realize Ferrari doesn’t actually design most of their cars themselves:

Without context, you can assume that, but you don’t know that. I like electric cars. I like modern design. But the body seems devoid of character. It doesn’t look like Ferrari made this car. This is part of a larger issue with modern cars that are smooth bodied and devoid of that character of previous models, especially those made during the 20th century that were practically art pieces.

Yeah dawg I’m sorry but when a company can make cars that look like this, the Luce is the equivalent of a wet fart.

Old cars just looked like that because they didn’t have the tech to shape metal as well. They are just boats with a higher drag coefficient they don’t have character

Are you seriously telling me to my face that being a car designer was a profession simply because the factory didn’t know how to bend metal? Look at the 1950s corvettes and come back to me bro, because thats a ridiculously generalized and factually untrue statement.

Are you aware this is an $800,000 car #2?

They have a design team, it just wasn’t used for this car, bunch of former Apple tech bros were instead. And they still have one of the highest reputation badges in the industry that was completely disrespected with this abomination. It doesn’t follow a single one of their typical design cues that have always existed, except the overpriced classic-style wheel and ac vents I guess

Literally look at other sports-centric EVs (photo is a Rimac Nevera). It’s not like you can’t make an EV look good, and that’s why Ferrari’s design is being received so poorly. They genuinely could’ve made something that looked sexy as hell that was an EV, but instead decided to use a fucking computer mouse as a muse.

Pretty much, but instead of being a Samsung refrigerator on wheels, it’s a Logitech mouse on wheels.

Fair, I think Ferrari is just doing this to worsen anti ev sentiment in the car community
