Your loss, wasps are lovely little guys and you’re missing out (in all seriousness though I do understand the fear lol. They are generally lovely little guys as long as you don’t spook them, but it’s hardwired into us to be scared of bugs that sting and bite for good reason. If you can get past that though, they’re really beautiful and fascinating creatures and a joy to interact with!)

i’ve had one come up to me for the sole purpose of stinging me. you can just barely move and they get aggressive. honey bees however🥰🥰

Were you close to its hive? Also were you moving a lot when it came up to you or did you jerk back from fear? (Wasps can be assholes sometimes, but the vast majority of the time it’s reasonable self defense)
