Little moment of genuine excitement, I just saw a rove beetle for the first time and I had no idea beetles could have such tiny elytras! That’s so wild and cool! Was fully convinced it wasn’t a beetle until I looked up “earwig look alikes” and saw it!

I often see a species of rove beetle called “Devil’s Coach Horse” beetle, which is such a badass and awesome name for such a silly little fellow.
