700+ you’ll never hear me complain that a book’s too long, only too short. I feel like anything under 3-400 pages doesn’t give me enough time to get to know the characters/world. Or if it does, then I’m left unfulfilled and wanting more of it. It’s fine if it’s a long series of short books tho

I love 1000 page fantasy books

200-400 is like technically best imo, but it’s really impressive when you can find a novella or short non-fiction (memoir/essay) that is impactful and poignant in very few words
