I love Brandon Sanderson, but one of my favorite things about his books was that they can all be read together or by themselves. His most recent ones seem to be going away from this and I’m very nervous for the future, that and the space stuff. I don’t want spaceships in my fantasy 😭

It’s the Skyward Flight series that has three associated novellas with it (that take place simultaneously with the events in the third book of the series). I tried to skip them for time’s sake but honestly they provide a lot of really good insight to the fourth and final book of the main series so I’m just sucking it up and reading them lol

Sci-fi and fantasy are cousins though

Haha sorry but this post is about one of his spaceship series 🚀🚀 but if ur ever interested in exploring them, I also used to think I preferred my fantasy without spaceships and turns out I was super wrong. Spaceships rock

It’s fine if I go in knowing it’s sci fi, it was just like isles of the Emberdark especially where I wasn’t expecting it. I haven’t actually read any of his YA stuff, my comment was more about the cosmere which has been steadily heavy fantasy and now has space travel 😅
