Every place I go I look for bookstores in the area. They’ve kinda become my souvenirs, I always leave space in my suitcase for them and I’ll stick something from the trip in them as a bookmark (map, plane ticket, brochure, etc) so that I remember all the places I’ve been when I read it

I work at a local used bookstore in a smallish town and my FAVORITE customers are the people who are just stopping through along their travels. So often they tell me how they only have Barnes and Noble/Big chains near them, or how they have been looking for this specific old copy of a book for so long, and they found it here when they decided to randomly come in. It makes my heart so happy.
