I wish so badly that I could track fanfic reading on Goodreads or Fable 😫 Or at least that I could track the word count. I know fanfics are usually shorter, but after a while, they gotta add up to a few extra books read each year

Wait till you find out that book publishers also publish smut and that fanfics get turned into published books pretty often 🤩

You’re not better than anyone bc you don’t read smut and this was a weird thing to say you could’ve just not responded. Also, like OP said many authors started out writing fanfics.

With a healthy round of editing anything can be good, it just needs that editing.
