I really enjoyed it in the same way that I enjoyed The Batman. Both Matt Reeves and Guillermo del Toro took creative liberties in straying from the source material. Neither are complete accurate retellings of batman nor frankenstein, but I thought they were brilliantly done and honestly better for our current time as a story and a word of warning.

I like it as a film a lot but in my head it’s just not Frankenstein. Mostly bc I deeply love Robert Walton (the og ship captain) and he was absent and replaced
