Surely libraries have book clubs that are free?

Omg the Pokémon cards/ coffee shop in my town (who launched a book section right before my bookstore opened to try and outdo me) is requiring people to buy the book AND an AI generated t shirt from them to attend book club and it blows my mind. The one I host is free and read what you want. Book clubs should not be monetarily gatekept 💀

Old people read good books too. My mom (70s) reads books I do. Sometimes even more mainstream ones than I do. Ones people are talking about constantly on social media and stuff.
