Ive dnfed a book after 1 chapter, and another book i got 57% in. Usually when i dnf early its because i don’t like the authors writing. But if i dnf later in a book, its because im bored or it just feels like a chore to pick up. And honestly sometimes i will finish a book im REALLY not liking so that when i want to write a review on it im 100% sure i gave it my all

Whenever you’re not having fun any more/constantly being dragged out of the story. Could be the second page, could be the second chapter from the end. Reading is supposed to be fun and relaxing, try something new when this is no longer true for you. I grew up hating to read because all the classics for school were NOT for me, and I regret not finding books that i enjoy sooner

I picked up a series thinking it would be good, it was a little too childish and felt like there was no climax on top of the authors writing was kinda horrid
