I feel like most paperbacks are weird with sprayed edges, and even hardcovers can look tacky if the paint is cheap, the pages aren’t smooth, or it needs another coat. Digital edges on hardcovers typically look the coolest and are the only ones I’d go out of the way to have on my shelf

Yes but it depends. If we’re talking like just a solid color sprayed edge on a paperback or hardcover special edition, yes I agree. I got the Katabasis deluxe edition, that shit is FAR from cheap feeling. It’s so pretty.
