Are kindles even worth it? I don’t like the thought of having ads on a device I already paid for. Seems unnecessary and annoying.

Yes, you can even rent ebooks from libraries and read them on your kindle

they aren’t really ads, just pictures as a “screensaver” it doesn’t get in the way of the actual reading at all

Not to mention, you can turn the screen fully off as well so that it literally only shows behind the pop up when you put your PIN in to unlock it. I really don't see why some people make a huge deal about it lol

yes the app libby (free online library cards!!) is the #1 reason i read so many books this year 🫶🏻
