If you want to branch off from romance and into fantasy, you could try some fantasy romance! It’s my favorite genre combo :) An Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir, The Folk of the Air Trilogy by Holly Black, The Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir, Green Creek series by T. J. Klune, Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Graceling Realm series by Kristen Cashore, Serpent and Dove Trilogy by Shelby Mahurin, Monstrous series by Lily Mayne, A Gathering of Dragons trilogy by Milla Vane

Assassin’s Apprentice, The Shadow of What Was Lost, The Way of Kings (don’t start with this one lol), The Mistborn Trilogy

- the gilded wolves by roshani chokshi (1886 paris + magic + heist, similar to six of crows but different enough)

- legendborn by tracy deonn (modern setting, arthurian legend inspired) - the raven cycle by maggie stiefvater (modern setting, welsh mythology & some paranormal stuff) - anything brandon sanderson has written (you should technically start with mistborn but i started with stormlight lol) - six of crows by leigh bardugo (technically ou should read shadow and bone first but soc is the better series imo and you should be fine without reading s&b unless you want to) - anything by aiden thomas

It’s about the bastard son of a prince, and his journey to becoming an assassin (and other stuff) Tho I will say, there is not a ton of actual assassin hijinks, but it is mostly about how Fitz (the MC) grows as a person, and changes. It’s honestly really great, the characters all feel super real and interesting
