I tried to read the first book twice and failed twice 😭I want to give it another shot but yeah it's a struggle, coming from someone who loves high fantasy

i took a long time reading the first book and enjoyed it… i heard GREAT things about later books but i’m hesitant to continue reading bc the first one took me so long

If you’re used to epic fantasies, not really. All I heard going into it was how difficult it was to follow and so I think I overestimated it/over prepared myself for it. I’d imagine if you’re new to fantasy or even epic fantasies it might be challenging, but even then, not impossible. Theres a lot of characters, a lot of world building, but the writing itself is very approachable. It may take a little more time, but I think all the people saying you need to take notes and such are a bit much
