Same. It's why I struggle to read books with child protagonists now since I can't really relate much anymore

Eh I disagree about relating depending on their age. We all still make mistakes, we still struggle with identity and relationships love and hurt and purpose in life and that’s true no matter what your age is

I think for some things the new perspective is helpful. When I read the hunger games at age 10 I thought Katniss was a basically grown up badass, I just re-read them at 23 and with a new horror because I’m reading the internal monologue of a traumatized child
