Does Dungeon Crawler Carl seem kind of industry plant vibes to anyone?

It might be wildly overhyped, but it started as a webserial that got picked up. Matt Dinniman is def not an industry plant. I do see the vibes though. Don’t get me started on Rebecca Yarros lore though……

Genuine question, industry plant for what purpose? Idk much about about the industry so I think your question goes over my head

Holy fuck I have always been a hater, and it sucks because there are way better examples of the sub genre. It blows my mind that it’s so popular… but I don’t think it’s a plant. I think it’s just kinda shitty and good for algorithms.

I’m sorry just my opinion but the more I read the less I liked it. Why does the system have to be so goddamn horny, I never found that funny. There were moments that I liked but I could ever really connect with the story. I felt it was kinda one note, overstimulating. I even listened the first 4 books again to see if I was missing anything, and my opinion stands.

Nonono don’t apologize you got ur own opinion. Also u listening to the first four books is MORE than enough time to make an actual informed opinion lol. You might feel the same way I feel abt Stephen King ngl.

You misunderstand, I listened to the first six books, didn’t like them, then like a year later I tried again to see if there was anything I missed, and gave up after the fourth. I should add that I’m a freak when it comes to audiobooks.
