I got rid of my Gryffindor t-shirt last year, which I cherished for almost 10 years. A small, quiet part of me will miss how it felt to believe JKR really believed in what good I learned from HP. All the same, the cracks are showing now.

I feel like having nostalgia is okay (even though I’m with you on having the ick now), but it weirds me out when people still wear HP merch all the time and promote the series. Like JKR is soooo hateful and everyone knows about HP. Thrift the books. Pirate the films. But to be vocally super about HP just makes me feel like you’re not serious about the very serious state of the world.
