Why is it that when you are reading people think it’s a great idea to interrupt you eight hundred times

I read a lot in random places on my campus and I swear every 3 times I sit down to read someone from a club/group comes up to me to ask to join their church. Like, I’m busy, it’s not the time. All you’re doing is making me not want to go even more by interrupting me 💀

When I’m reading I physically can’t even hear when ppl are talking to me so this pisses me doubly off 😭😭😭

I feel like people are more likely to interrupt me while reading a book than if I was just scrolling on my phone. No I do not want to tell you about the book I’m reading, I want to read it

I swear people who never have a convo with you will try to repeatedly strike up a convo AS SOON as you start trying to read a book 😭

No literally I don’t get why they think that would endear ppl to them 😭😭😭

The worst ones are when I’m in a nook in the library. Like, they had to take the extra time to walk into the little corner I’m in to interrupt me 😭

the people close to me know to ask me to talk when I get to a good stopping point 🔥
