Yes! I’d say so even if you’re new to fantasy. It’s a great intro to the genre while also not feeling too simplistic if you’ve read a lot of fantasy. It’s very well written and really hits the feels. It’s part of a trilogy, but I feel it also can be read as a standalone if you want (though all three are superb), or theres a whole universe in addition to the trilogy if you fall in love with it like I did
