Genuinely considering getting a kindle for all the ya and other random books that I kinda want to read but don’t want on my shelf. Very torn tho as I’ve always been anti ebook 😅 (not against people reading them, I just personally love paper books!)

I love physical books too, but my kindle is great for nightly reading and decluttering my house with books I may not want on my shelves so I would definitely recommend it!

And before someone screams library, a couple series I want to read are indie books not in libraries (and I would like to support the author anyway) and there are WAY more books that I want to read than my lazy ass would go pick up. Also I’ve gotten some nasty library books, I don’t want to know what some of the stains were 😬

Definitely leaning toward it, I also love to read on my side and am thinking that’d be easier with a kindle. Do you have any recommendations for which ones I should look into? I don’t need anything fancy, but I would like the books I purchase to stay on there regardless of what happens to Amazon if possible

Reading on your side is definitely easier, especially if you get a pop socket :) I got a kindle paperwhite a few years ago as a gift and it works perfectly for what I need. Any books that you purchase will stay on the kindle, though if you do something like the kindle unlimited subscription, you will have to return any books you borrow (kind of like an online library)
