I have read *some* published smut on this level, but so much of it is very cis het and allosexually viewed, and I think that’s why a lot of fanfic smut tends to be better. More emotions attached, and oftentimes less for the sole purpose of “guy finishes in girl” if that makes sense. Like a lot of queer-written published smut has this kind of poetic finesse too, but it definitely thrives in fanfic.

I could definitely see this. I’m pansexual so I tend to read all kinds of both published and unpublished lit. I definitely think good het smut is hard to find because queer relationships and smut often explore more topics besides just reproduction. I would like to see more good het smut hit the market :) people deserve good quality lit

For sure! Definitely need a good quality variety for everyone. Tho the good m/f smut I’ve read has been by queer authors too 😂
