Idk as an mlm I feel weird reading spicy wlw books. I don’t feel comfortable sexualizing lesbians like that so I stick to YA sapphic books

no i don’t either and it’s odd. i feel like straight women can understand the attraction to men, so it’s not completely fabricated, but when a straight women writes about wlw, it feels forced. with mlm i’m giggling on the sidelines cheering the characters on like the book is a reality show

I’ve never encountered a straight woman writing wlw, but I have encountered a huge amount of straight women writing mlm for some reason. I strongly prefer my mlm written by actual mlm writers, and my wlw from wlw writers. Straight authors come last regardless of gender. At this point with all the hypersexualization I’ve seen I’m not gonna trust a straight author very easily. Straight women love to sexualize mlm characters and straight men love to sexualize wlw characters

I’ve actually been collecting a huge list of mlm authors over the past few years! It would probably be too much to write down here, so I’ll recommend my favs. Shaun David Hutchinson, K. D. Edwards, Brandon Taylor, James Baldwin, Tomasz Jedrowski, Timothy Janovsky, Eliot Schrefer, Tal Bauer, Sebastian Nothwell, Gregory Ashe, and Ian Haramaki
