Thoughts 1. I can’t believe they included the phone call with Hayden. Was laughing and kicking my feet 2. Good lord everything was so sweet and heart wrenching 3. So glad they kept the loon wolf bird gag 4. Wished it had a more conclusive ending like the press conference in the book. And also Hayden’s reaction

I haven’t read the book yet but it’s on my list right after I finished iced out. (Another gay hockey to fill the void until I got the book) but omg the phone scene was amazing. And my jaw was on the floor when I saw his dad. And the fact that Ilya saw him first

Yesss. Tbh this is one of the best book adaptations I’ve ever seen. Nothing felt super missing and a lot of the script was word for word or close to it, so it felt right. I’d also recommend game changer for Scott and Kip’s story. A lot of that was missing or shrunk down for the show (ofc it’s not their show so I don’t mind). But they’re the cutest too

I didn’t mind their episode and I figured I’d go back to their book at some point but I wanted to start with Shane and Ilyas book. And I agree one of the best adaptations. A Cinematic masterpiece if you will
